The weather was fairly warm and sunny yesterday so I started to dig more flowerbeds in the "formal" part of the garden, on the north side of the house.
The hours of sun here are many and the beds will be protected from the nothern winds by the Snowberry bushes. I have already dug the West bed late last fall to be able to put down the plants I got in the Fall sales at the Garden Nurseries, plus a lot of spring bulbs.
North Bed done, the corner where I will plant a Japanese Cherry bush and have some water feature for the sound. I have also started with the East bed. There was A LOT of roots from the Snowberry bushes in the ground, and when I can afford it I will put down some steel edge towards the bushes.
The Grass bits I got did I move to the north side of my barn where I'm planning shadow flowerbeds.
The grass I put where the new walking paths will be.
Towards the rockwall will I plant Fern, and towards the lower right corner is the border to the neighbor and there I put all the roots from the Snowberry bush in the ground, and they will hopefully grow as a border.
In the flowerbed to the left (that will get bigger and ovalish) will I plant Rhododendron, bushes and shadowplants.
Besides this, it's moving along in my garden.
The Rhubarbs I found hidden away on the other side of the stream and took away the weed from, have started their beautiful journey, Love it!
I took of the protection from the Roses facing south & west and hope they will thrive now when it gets warmer.

The Tortoiseshell Butterfly is a welcome guest in my garden :D
Today it was northenly winds, and despite the sun a little bit chilly.
Perfect day to visit the first Garden Center opening up for the season: "Fredriksson's Plant" in Östhammar, just a short busride away.
AND 50% OFF last years plants, sounded very good for a new garden owner with a blank canvas (could be a expensive adventure otherwise).
For $100usd/650Skr did I get these perennial 11 plants, fantastic!

Until the weather allow me to plant them, they will live upon the second floor of my barn.
As always, I enjoy a good Fika, and what better way to do it but with the latest issue of the garden magazine "Allt om Trädgård" :D
Now I'm heading off to the nearby town of Tierp where it's "Pelargonium Gorge" in the Library with Upplands Pelargonium Society, Great Fun!
